Effective September 30, 2026 · NookProof 1.0.0 · ApexNode
NookProof keeps your work on your device. The app has no internet permission, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, sign-in system or subscription.
Information stored on your device
Item names, photos, quantities, rooms and storage locations, categories, serial numbers, purchase dates, entered values, borrower details, return dates and notes remain in the app’s private device storage. ApexNode does not receive or remotely access this app data. You control what you enter, edit, export and delete.
Files, backups and sharing
The app uses Android’s document picker to access only files you select or destinations you choose. No broad storage, camera, microphone, location, contact, notification or exact-alarm permission is requested. Photos you choose or take with an external camera app are copied into private storage. The app saves JPEG copies up to 1,600 pixels with original metadata removed. Android grants the camera app temporary access only to its chosen output file. Photo ZIP backups include the saved images. Removed photos may remain privately for immediate Undo until a later app restart; files retained for damaged-data recovery are kept until app storage is cleared. Keep original photos and receipts separately.
ZIP backups preserve editable app data. PDF and CSV exports are readable reports. Restoring a backup adds independent copies to the existing library. No automatic syncing is provided. Files you export or share are handled by your chosen file provider or receiving app, under that provider’s privacy policy. Exported backups are not encrypted by NookProof; store them in a location you trust.
Retention and deletion
You can delete individual entries in the app. Android’s Clear storage or uninstall removes the app’s private data, including any retained recovery files. Exported or shared copies remain wherever you saved or sent them and must be deleted there separately. Automatic Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup are disabled; export a ZIP backup before switching phones or uninstalling.
Support messages
If you email support, your email provider and ours process that message. We receive the address and content you choose to send and use them to respond and resolve the issue. Send only the information needed for support; never send passwords or private signing keys. You can ask us to delete a support conversation, subject to retention needed to resolve the request or comply with applicable obligations.
Purchases
The planned Google Play edition uses a single upfront purchase. Google Play processes payment and manages store licensing and download records under Google’s policies. NookProof does not receive payment-card details and does not use in-app purchases.
Children
NookProof is intended for general adult use and is not specifically directed to children. The app does not collect personal information from users.

Changes
Any policy update will appear here with a revised effective date. A material change to app data handling will be described in the app’s release information.
Support
Email apexnode.dev@gmail.com.
Include the app version, Android version and the steps that caused the problem. Your local data cannot be retrieved by support, so keep a current ZIP backup.
Lost data? Use Help → Restore a backup. If the app reports damaged data, export its recovery copy before clearing storage. PDF/CSV reports cannot be restored as editable app data.
